Maybe you should read that "NOTICE TO MP3 OPERATORS" again. The Grateful Dead hates to see advertising on websites; where we can can download their music or trade our shows any way. If it isn't FREE; it's contrary to the band's policy...

Hello, Ms Bears. It's just a real shame that it's taken bad times to bring you across the great divide. As I've said elsewhere, the Hook was not for me but I wish it no harm. You know you're very welcome to come back among the reprobates here any time you like.

hello to you Rob- and hugs!

our beloved deadhook was simply changed and taken from us very unfairly.

thank you for letting me put the link up here so we can find our way home.

Hey, Dancin' - if you're thinking of coming back here see if you can get old ghostofpig to come back with you. I'm sure the pair of you will be able to liven this place up a little.

Keep your head up - things may come and things may go but the music never stops.

No. I've sold the biz and moved to the mountains. lost 20 lbs, no longer diabetic, cholesterol dropped by 70 points, and lungs are cleaning up. still an asshole, though.

gina,

it wasnt taken from us unfairly. the ads werent covering the cost. MH has no choice but to cut the losses. As someone in business, I cannot blame him/them.

we were basically getting something for free - and finally the cup runneth over.

it was no ones fault, and not unfair at all. it is fiscal reality. MH did great by DH for a long time from what i have read.

It is just time for a change. Josh is doin unreal handling this, as is Fred.

It is not the end, just a new beginning.

We should harbor NO illwill to our prior host - for it sounds like they did so very very much for us heads.

Just my opinion

dire

John - you're one of the reasons I've never entirely lost faith with this place - but I think we can be sympathetic towards a few kindred spirits who feel they've suffered a loss without lapsing into pseudo-hippy bullshit. You know me better than that. And I know you too, you cantankerous, cynical old bastard. (I thought that was my job anyway...)

At least you're less than a month away from seeing what I consider to be one of the few truly exciting live acts in a great setting. have fun. hope you had a good time in denver. I'd put in a big smiley huggin' emoticon for you but then I'd have to puke and shoot myself....

I might have to shoot you first. So you don't think you'll make it up then?

Denver was nice, especially the weather, but unfortunately constant family obligation put a mass cramp on our style.

Hey! At least now I have time to gear up for our annual GROK Against the Pats efforts this fall! What better way to redeem myself in the face of the masses? What truer fashion to show the depth of my pocket is so shallow that a little football envy can occupy my pysche for an entire season?

You gotta admit we need each other for God's work on this...

Well DB, as you can read below, I was no doubt part of the problem. Sadly, I know it hurts the family members such as yourself a great deal more than the likes of me.

Hope you understand my perspective even if it had Tragedy of the Commons consequences for the place...

Well, not to put too fine a point on it, but apparently, the problem is I DON'T feel that way...if I did, I would contribute a little cash, and the problem, if all others did likewise, would go away.

As always, $$ can work wonders.

Here you go--use this to survive the heat this week. After they announce the temp on the news, hold this up to the TV. It'll feel good.
